Job Description

Middle Weight Back End Developer

My client, a successful, fun-loving and widely respected digital production agency, specialising in experiential DOOH, web, and mobile application development, is looking for a Middleweight Back End Developer to join their team in East London.

Boasting such delights as an original NES, Beer Fridge, Office dog and more mini-drones than you can shake a stick at, their office is located close to all forms of transport and the burgeoning digital hub of Silicon Roundabout.

PHP fluency is an absolute must, and experience with app development for similar DOOH or experiential agencies or projects is ideal.

You must be able to demonstrate an active portfolio, highlighting the following:

  • PHP5, OOP, Symfony2, MVC
  • RDBMS, NoSQL(MongoDB or CouchDB or Redis)
  • Restful API design
  • Code revision control GIT
  • Familiarity with Linux, Bash scripting
  • 3rd party APIs (Facebook, Twitter, Google - Youtube)
  • Good level of Javascript, JQuery, HTML, CSS

The following experience would be highly beneficial but is not absolutely necessary:

  • js
  • Cloud hosting experience (AWS)
  • Continuous Integration (Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo)

You should be capable of leading development of a project, but also be able to follow the lead of an experienced team of 20 existing developers, project managers and company directors. Working to project deadlines and with tight timescales is of course absolutely essential.

This role is a permanent position, contractors are not what this company needs right now. They can offer good career progression in a high-flying market, a basic salary of between £30-45k and excellent perks and benefits, not forgetting the office dog!

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, please apply today using an up-to-date CV.

We request that candidates send their CV as a Microsoft Word document where possible.

Quest Search and Selection is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
