Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an established Buyer to join this luxury gift retailer in their London based head office. Working across their store and online business, the ideal candidate will have previous experience at Junior Buyer or Buyer level within a branded or own brand environment.

As Buyer, your responsibilities will include;

-Working closely with the Head of Buying to source and deliver a commercially successful range.

-Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers. Sourcing new suppliers and negotiating terms.

-Predicting seasonal best sellers, core lines and future trends.

-Continually reviewing brand performance against the Buying plan and monitoring market activity.

-Completing regular comp shops and market analysis reports.

-Budget management within the product category.

-Actively training and managing a small team

To be successful, you will have;

-Branded or own brand buying experience from any product sector, with home/toys/gifts exposure being an advantage

-Trend awareness and strong creativity.

-Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

-A pro-active and positive approach.
