Job Description

A leading UK high street currently has an exciting opportunity for a high calibre Assistant Buyer to join it's creative and fast-paced head office team. Working across Mens Footwear, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Buyer or Junior Buyer with footwear experience who is looking for a new challenge.

As Assistant Buyer, your responsibilities will include:

-Assisting the buyer in sourcing, planning and developing commercial and creative ranges.

-Building and maintaining relationships with existing suppliers as well as sourcing new suppliers.

-Understanding the range and being able to predict seasonal best sellers, core lines and future trends.

-Competitor research and detailed trends reports and market analysis.

-Continually reviewing brand performance and sell through rates, against the Buying plan and monitoring market activity.

-Approving lab-dips, production and shipment samples.

-Attending and leading fit sessions alongside the technologist.

To be successful, you will:

-Have solid footwear buying experience from a leading UK fashion retailer.

-Be confident managing and developing your own range.

-Be passionate about product and have high attention to detail.

-Have an excellent knowledge of colours and trends.

-Excellent communication skills.
